Bio wine. Cellar for up to 8 years. Decanting time: will benefit considerably from decanting. While the Northern Italian region is normally better known for offering some of the world’s greatest red varieties, the number of white wines it has begun to showcase is nothing short of notable. The soil, climate and terrain of the region lead to reduced attention on cultivating strong, powerful flavors of plush fruit, resulting in a lightly balanced experience supported by the natural mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes that thrive in the region's conditions. With a bright-green tinge to its soft lemon color, the nose of this wine offers fruity aromas of acacia blossom, followed closely by a sharp zest of lime and lemon. It is likely the fermentation in large oak casks (derived from the indigenous forests on the estate itself) that contribute to this wine’s powerful, dense concentration and strong palate. The intense fruity flavours of orange and apricot are sweet yet subtle as they dissipate towards the mineral notes on the finish. Elegant and full of personality, this Northern Italian white is sure to please even the most discriminating collector, and is showcased best when complemented by lighter vegetarian or seafood dishes. Fruity and fresh, without compromising on taste, considerable decanting is recommended for this wine and a Burgundy glass is suggested in order to allow its elegance to round nicely to its full potential.
