Sea Point Promenade

This is, without doubt, Cape Town's favourite walk, and the whole city comes out to Sea Point to stretch its legs, take in the sunset, smell the sea air and walk dogs. The walk starts at a landmark visited by Charles Darwin in 1836, meanders past six beaches, a hundred year old swimming pool, a good few public artworks of varying artistic merit, a National Key Point, and a tidal pool with a dodgy reputation. If you are very lucky you may see whales or dolphins. You will certainly see some interesting characters. There are no hills, not even small ones. **Photo credits**: Sea Point Then and Now Facebook page
