Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for a half an hour. Klet Brda is a Slovenian wine cooperative located in the Goriška Brda wine region. The company, which has been operating since the end of the 1950s, produces a wide range of white and red wines that are highly appreciated by both the public and critics. The Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes are hand-harvested from vineyards located between 80 and 250 meters above sea level, planted with vines aged between 10 and 30 years. The processing of the grapes takes place separately as does the fermentation. The wines are then rested separately for 24 months before blending, and the finished blend is then further refined in stainless steel. Klet Brda De Baguer Merlot - Cabernet Franc shows a brilliant color with ruby tones and violet reflections. On the nose you can feel all the fruity intensity of Merlot with aromas of blackberry and plum, mulberry, and other red fruits, followed by gentle herbaceous and peppery notes typical of Cabernet Franc. On the palate, it is soft and round, velvety and elegant. The finish is long and recalls herbaceous and coffee notes. Perfect with beef filet served with mushrooms or a green pepper sauce.
