The Ginkgo Biloba is the world's longest living tree species, having survived in China for over 200 million years. The leaves of the tree contain the antioxidant active compounds, flavone glycosides. Each one-a-day Healthspan Ginkgo Biloba tablet contains 120mg of concentrated extract equivalent to 6,000mg of whole Ginkgo biloba leaves. This extract is carefully standardised to contain at least 28.8mg (24%) of the main active ingredients flavone glycosides and 7.2mg (6%) terpene lactones. When selecting herbal supplements look for standardised products as this ensures each tablet contains exactly what it says on the label. Furthermore, our extract is standardised to contain the lowest possible level of ginkgolic acid, an undesirable substance found in Ginkgo biloba leaves.
