It is a blend of top-class vineyards in the village of Rozas de Puerto Real - best enjoyed while it is young, but it can also be kept in the cellar for some time. Much like this Garnacha, Comando G winery is packed with youthful enthusiasm. It was founded in 2008, by two friends, Fernando and Daniel, and takes its name from the duo’s favourite childhood cartoon. Their vineyards span the regions of Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, and Castilla Y Leon, encompassing some of the most precipitous and inaccessible vineyards in central Spain. The Rozas shows firm, velvety tannins on the palate, coupled with vibrant acidity. Look for notes of strawberry, raspberry, and pomegranate, with citrus undercurrents of grapefruit and orange zest. There is an echo of wild game to be discovered, and fresh hints of minerality on the finish. Perfect for lovers of vibrant, light red wine. It can be paired with pork, poultry, or pungent cheese.
