Drink It now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Located in Corcelles-en-Beaujolais, in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region, Château de Corcelles is a winery whose vineyards span over 87 hectares, planted with Gamay and Chardonnay. The castle which dates back to the 15th century was built on an ancient medieval fortress and then renovated in Renaissance style in the 16th and 17th centuries. Gamay grapes are selected and harvested manually from vines aged between 30 and 70 years and planted on pink granite soils located southeast and north of the municipality of Fleurie not far from the Moulin à Vent area. After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks. Chateau de Corcelles Fleurie 2022 has a brilliant color with ruby red tones and violet reflections. On the nose, it reveals a fragrant and exuberant character with pleasant notes of red fruits and flowers. On the palate, it is fresh, and dynamic and has a juicy fruit concentration. It has a medium body, a soft texture, and velvety tannins. The finish is long and pleasantly balanced by a fresh vein of acidity. Excellent with chicken parmigiana, leg of lamb with herbs and spices, or foie gras escalope.
