Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Owned by the Paux-Rosset family since 1992, Chateau La Negly extends over 50 hectares of vineyards located in Languedoc and more precisely in the La Clape wine region, in the heart of the homonymous massif and a short distance from Narbonne. The company, which underwent a complete renovation and redevelopment in the 90s, focuses its attention on the production of quality wines. In 2006, Chateau La Negly purchased the neighboring La Boede estate with its 25 hectares of vineyards. The wine is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre harvested manually from the Domaine de Boede vineyard, planted on clayey limestone soil with a high presence of stones. After vinification Grenache and Mourvedre rest in wooden vats, while Syrah in barrels, for 12 months. Domaine de Boede Les Gres is a powerful wine with a dense color with purple tones. On the nose it reveals a rich aromatic profile with notes of dark fruits such as blackberry and cassis, spicy hints of pepper and cinnamon and some nuances of coffee. On the palate it is full and round, warm and balanced, with a fresh finish. Try it with roast lamb with herbs or with beef stew.
