The Portobello is built around a sturdy Viking urban sports hi-tensile steel hybrid frame. The geometry of the Portobello is set to suit anything from a quick commute to some serious long distance light rough riding. Viking has complimented this robust frame with a set of straight bladed high tensile steel forks for pin sharp steering. Transmission is all Shimano, 21 speed push button STI gear shifters with Shimano front and rear derailleurs, a seven speed Shimano freewheel and a Shimano triple chainset with lightweight alloy crank arms. This set-up will give you a gear for any terrain, super easy for steep hills and rough ground or super fast for track and road. When it comes down to stopping the Portobello is no slouch, front and rear alloy V type brakes with Shimano adjustable reach alloy levers offer predictable stopping power in all conditions. The Portobello is adaptable too, frame and forks have mudguard clearance with fitting bosses. Luggage won't be a problem either, fitting points are provided for a rear pannier.
