Drink it now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant. Located in Slovakia, in the village of Devín, Zlatý Roh is a young winery that started its activity in 2014, with the preparation of the land and planting of the new vineyards. Today the company produces organic wines with the use of indigenous yeasts under the guidance of the oenologist Filip Nagy. The vineyards are distributed not far from northern Burgenland (Austria) and enjoy very favorable soil and climatic conditions thanks also to the excellent exposure and proximity to the Danube river. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand. The vinification takes place according to a company philosophy that provides for minimal interventions to allow the full expression of the variety and terroir of origin. The must is left in contact with the skin for 12 hours, which leaves a very slight trace of tannin. The finished wine is bottled unclarified and unfiltered. This delicious Riesling has a golden color and a significant viscosity. The aromatic profile is intense and complex with notes of apricot, pineapple, and citrus peel, followed by hints of honey and white pepper. On the palate, it reveals the typical bracing acidity of Riesling. It is fruity and crisp with a long and expressive finish. It’s perfect with spicy Asian dishes and shellfish.
