Cellar up to 10 years. It can benefit from some decanting. Located in the Kakheti region of Georgia, Winiveria and Chateau Mere were founded by George Piradashivili. The winery was acquired in 2005, while the Chateau Mere resort opened its doors in 2011, becoming a popular destination for wine-loving travelers who want to discover Georgia's culture and wines. Winiveria Kindzmarauli is a legendary semi-sweet red wine traditionally produced with Georgian Saperavi grapes. The grapes are grown in Kakheti, in the microzone of Mukuzani, on an area of 400 hectares southwest of the municipality of Kvareli. The vinification takes place according to the Imeretana technology. Grapes are macerated on the pulp and fermentation lasts 1.5-2 months, which is 2 times less than with Kakhetin technology. Then the wine matures for 2 years in the typical Qvevri terracotta pots. The wine has a dark garnet color. The sweet and refined scent is dominated by nuances of red fruits and cherries with delicate hints of violet. The taste is pleasant, sweet, with a fine structure, velvety tannins, and a long and elegant aftertaste with hints of wild berries. It goes well with red fruits, nuts, caramel and chocolate-based desserts.
