## Overview Vila Camacho is a 46-room family-run property, overlooking the Bay of Funchal. We are clean and low-cost, but stylish, with simple, funky rooms, representing excellent value for money. We pride ourselves on our restaurant, The Flame Tree, which serves local Madeiran dishes with a contemporary twist. ## Location Vila Camacho is located in an elevated position, with lovely views, overlooking the Bay of Funchal. We are in a residential district, about 2km from the city centre, which is roughly 25 minutes away on foot and 5-10 minutes away by car; 400m from the Barreiros football stadium, home to Maritimo football club, and 600m from the Clube Naval swimming and health club. The Lido swimming complex is 1km away; 6km from Palheiro golf course. ## Rooms Most of the rooms are relatively small, but we do have some large family-sized rooms, two junior suites and a penthouse suite with a marvellous panoramic view of the Bay of Funchal. All rooms have private bathrooms with plenty of hot water and fresh towels, and daily maid service. The rooms are simply and brightly decorated with wooden floors and many feature original art. ## Food & drink Vila Camacho is home to the Flame Tree Restaurant, which is open to the general public as well hotel guests. Bar snacks, salads and sandwiches are available all day long. Lunch is served from 12:00 and the restaurant is open for meals until 23:00. The villa has a cosy dining room and a large outside terrace, which is used for breakfast year-round and for dinner for most of the year. All our service is waiter service a€“ with no buffets.
