As usual, Hankook has developed this 3rd generation of “Ventus S1 evo” tyres by listening to its customers, whose primary concerns related to safety, and more specifically grip over wet surfaces and precise handling. In order to increase its wet road performance, this latest sporty model is equipped with a system of interlinked grooves. There are 2 types of grooves on the tyre tread: straight grooves and so-called locking grooves. The combination of these 2 types of grooves, along with 4 longitudinal channels, increases grip over wet ground and reduces the risk of aquaplaning. Its innovative “Aqua Pine” composite, incorporating resin and vegetable oils, reinforces the tyre tread. This rigidity provides the tyre with a higher resistance to warping at high speeds, which directly influences vehicle stability.
