This 12m Active repeater USB cable acts as a hub enabling you to daisy chain up to 5 together to get a total length of up to 60m. No longer are you restricted by the 5m length of USB cables, you can now connect a USB device up to 60m away. The active repeater is bus powered so no additional power supplies are needed as it takes it power from the actual USB port. This cable still supports the 480Mbps data speed for USB 2.0 devices and supports this across multiple cables in a daisy chain. The active repeater is also backward compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 1.0 cables.This active repeater cable has been designed with a locking function on the USB cable and the extender port to stop the cables coming loose when used in a daisy chain formation. The active repeater supports Windows operating systems Win98 and above, along with MAC OS and Linux.
