The USB type C 3.5mm audio adapter allows you to connect 3.5mm stereo equipment to a USB type C phone/tablet etc. The chipset tells the phone that a USB C audio adapter is connected so that audio is not outputted by default to the 3.5mm port on phone/tablet....
