Karai was once a tough and mysterious ninja before her life took a drastic turn after being caught in the middle of Shredder---s evil plan to kill Splinter. He planned to use a mutagen ooze to transform the Ninja Turtles into rat-eating serpents to kill Splinter. Shredder accidentally knocked Karai into the mutagen ooze and the contamination resulted in her transformation into a 3-headded snake. Karai showed incredible self control after stopping her rampage just before killing Splinter --- she has learned to mutate between human and snake form, at her own will. The articulated Karai figure was inspired by the hit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show. The action figure features a swivel-hinge head and shoulders. Karai comes completes with her removable snake head for her human or snake-form.
