Collier County Florida officials informed the hotel that Vanderbilt Beach, the beach front directly in front of the hotel and the adjacent one mile beach front areas are scheduled for a county wide ''beach re-nourishment project'' taking place November 4-24, 2013 dates are subject to change based upon progress of the project. While the public beach along with the Resort's beach front, The Gumbo Limbo Restaurant and all beach services, will remain open to all hotel guests, they acknowledge the potential impact to the guests during this targeted period. At this time, they anticipate numerous sand trucks will be traveling up and down Vanderbilt Beach ''laying down'' new sand along the coastline Monday through Saturday from sunrise to sunset. While they recognize that the sand trucks and the corresponding project could impact the overall experience on the beach, the Ritz Carlton Naples team will do their best to provide all guests with the best beach experience they can under the circumstances.
