Join me on a nostalgia-fuelled jaunt around Britpop land in the mid-90s. So… don’t look back in anger; look back with delight! I had the honour of living in the heart of Britpop during its peak. By chance, I found a lovely double room to rent in Primrose Hill, allowing me the best of both worlds: the rough, riotous Camden Town and the genteel, pretty Primrose Hill. I was a student then, but my eyes were on the future—I wanted to make websites for pop stars. The problem was that I struggled to learn HTML, preferring to spend evenings chatting up boys in Fred Perry shirts. I ended up working with My Life Story, and some of my anecdotes about them will be shared along the way. We'll stop by iconic locations, including: • Blow Up. The club where Britpop was born. • The Good Mixer. The famous pub where the Blur versus Oasis rivalry began. • Dingwalls. My Life Story’s Last Chance Saloon. • Primrose Hill. "The view's so nice," says Damon Albarn. • The Dublin Castle. Camden’s most celebrated music pub.
