Strong scents of black cherry and plum jam intermingle with coffee, cocoa, and liquorice. It shows a deep crimson colour in the glass, with purple hues, and the grapes were picked from several vineyards throughout the Central Coast AVA. Tensley Wines is one of the finest family-run wineries in Santa Barbara County. It was founded in 1998, by the husband and wife duo Joey and Jennifer Tensley, in the scenic beachside town of Los Olivos. Although many of their wines bear the Central Coast label, the Tensleys tend to favour specific terroirs and harvest their grapes from smaller vineyards throughout the region. Medium to full-bodied in the mouth, this Cabernet Sauvignon is bursting with flavours of cherry, blueberry and plum, with pleasant, savoury undertones of roasting herbs, dark chocolate and tobacco. It’s succulent, easy-drinking, and will astonish even the most hardcore Cab Sav fans. The finish is long and aromatic. With a food-friendly yet complex character, this wine is worthy of pairing with juicy steaks, mature cheese, or a tomato-rich pasta dish.
