Tashkonak Hotel

In 1999, three friends decided to get together and take over the management of a small hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet, the historical area of Turkey’s most famous city of Istanbul. The hotel that we chose was the Tashkonak, an old 19th century Ottoman mansion that had been converted from two old stone Taş houses. Friends wanted to offer visitors to Istanbul somewhere to stay that was different from the other hotels and hostels in the area. At Tashkonak, our guests experience a real family atmosphere, together with genuine Turkish hospitality. All guests are very important. In fact, they are more than just hotel guests. They become friends and are part of an extended family, the Tashkonak family. Tashkonak İstanbul Hotel is an Old Ottoman House dating back to the 19th Century and has been carefully restored and refurbished to be used as a Special Class Hotel in Istanbul. It has modern and comfortable rooms furnished in a similar fashion to the Traditional Ottoman houses.
