Tank Driving Experience

Take control of an Abbot self-propelled gun, FV432 armoured personnel carrier and a Chieftain main battle tank with this amazing Tank driving experience. Valid for 10 months, your voucher enables 1 person to enjoy these fantastic driving experiences, as well as ride a quad bike on a specially designed track.The Chieftain main tank weighs in at 55 tons and can crush a car like a toy. Following a full safety briefing, your experienced guide will show you how to take control of this notorious military vehicle. You'll also have a driving session in an Abbot self-propelled field gun and a driving session in a FV432 armoured personnel carrier. With complimentary refreshments and a certificate of achievement, this is certain to be a day to remember.Please dress comfortably and warmly for your Tank driving experience. Sturdy boots are advisable, as are waterproofs during wet weather. Spectators are welcome at a fee of --10 each, payable on the day. Children under 10 years can watch free of charge. The spectator entrance fee includes a ride on a tank and tea and coffee.Please note all dates are subject to availability and you must pre-book a date for your experience. The experience runs on Saturdays only. Due to weather conditions, the season starts in February and runs to the end of October (although bookings can be made all year round). The minimum age is 16 years. If you have a chest size of over 127cm/50", it may be difficult for you to get into some of the vehicles.
