The 22-acre Sunset Beach Resort & Spa and Waterpark features tropical gardens and potted plants, lily ponds, acres of beach, and all the facilities necessary for either relaxing or active holidays. The open-air lobby rises two stories, allowing for sweeping ocean views, and is dotted with seating/conversation areas furnished with oversized couches, overstuffed chairs, and two-person rattan lounging beds. The 550-meter beach allows for uncrowded lounging. Rock jetties divide the beach into three sections, the most isolated reserved for nude sunbathing. Of the three freshwater swimming pools, two are divided by a swim-up bar. The third is kidney-shaped and is the site of pool volleyball. An oceanfront 25-person spa tub is popular for evening socializing. The Pirate’s Paradise Water Park offers pirate-themed recreation for children and adults.
