Bred in Germany since 1735, Hanoverian horses were developed and used as working horses for many purposes: they were bred by King George II of England as agricultural horses, used as high-class coach horses and in Word War 1 as cavalry mounts for the military. Nowadays the Hanoverian horse is often used in sporting events, such as show jumping, dressage and eventing.Not suitable for children under 36 months.
