Small but strong, Dartmoor ponies have a history of being used as work ponies in mines and quarries. Native to Britain, Dartmoor ponies are becoming rarer, but can still be found roaming free in Devon, although they can also be found in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Continental Europe.
