The grapes were sourced from near Castelnuovo dell'Abate, a beautiful location in the heart of Montalcino. Since 2016, the San Giorgio winery has been part of the ColleMassari group, along with sister wineries Grattamacco, Poggio di Sotto and Castello ColleMassari. As a group, the estates form the backbone of premium wine production in Tuscany and offer an unparalleled taste of this world-famous region. This Brunello di Montalcino has received numerous awards over the years and has rarely been rated less than 90 points. Ugolforte balances layers of ripe tannins, refreshing acidity and a smooth finish. Discover notes of black cherry, plum, and wild strawberry on the palate, supported by earthier notes of cured meat, sage and tobacco smoke. It is a medium to full-bodied Brunello, notable for its warm character and longevity. It is easy-drinking, suitable for serious collectors or newcomers to the region.
