Since 1927 the Roosevelt Hotel Hollywood Hotel has been the playground of luminaries including Clark Gable, Carole Lombard and Marylin Monroe and the birthplace of the Academy Awards. Sweeping renovations in 2005 by acclaimed designer Dodd Mitchell in 2005 heralded its rebirth-a place where old Hollywood and new Hollywood entwine. The historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel offers elegance and privacy to discriminating travelers and Hollywood’s entertainment royalty. * Hollywood Roosevelt started renovating their guestrooms and corridors in September 2013. It is occurring in their 12-story tower. During each phase, two floors are under renovation with one floor used as a noise buffer. This is a total of 5 phases with the completion date anticipated to be in the first quarter of 2015. The full renovation includes flooring, walls, ceilings, bathroom fixtures, new hot and cold water piping, electrical and light fixtures, and new cables for wireless internet and TV systems. Primary tools used include hand and electrical tools. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm. They do not expect any noise or visual disturbance to affect the guests.
