Ideal for use on legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, back, chest and certain areas of the face, the IPL hair remover sends pulses of intense light directly to the hair follicle, disabling the hair root without affecting the area around it.Treatment is quick and easy, for example it takes only a couple of minutes to treat the underarm area. Offering permanent hair reduction in 3 simple steps, you select your skin type and shave the area to be treated to ensure that the light energy goes directly to the hair root. Place the unit over the treatment area and press the button to initiate the treatment flash. Repeat across the entire treatment area. Periodic treatments are required every 4 to 6 weeks to ensure that there is no hair regrowth.Targeting up to 180 hairs, the Rio Salon IPL machine covers a largest treatment area of 35x14mm. Delivering over 40,000 flashes, it has a replaceable, long life treatment bulb.With in-built safety features like a keylock and security code to prevent misuse, the Rio Salon IPL machine has skin sensors to ensure that treatment only occurs when good contact is made with the skin. A UV filter in the IPL aperture avoids the risk of damaging UV light. The main safety feature regulates the power level so that it can only be increased by 1 step per treatment, starting from level 1. Power can be decreased by as many steps as required.The Rio Salon IPL machine is not suitable for dark skin tones, for example those of Afro-Caribbean, black African, Indian or Pakistani descent. Even if your skin tone appears to be suitable on the included skin tone chart, do not use if close relations (parents/grandparents) have skin tones as described above. Not suitable for red, light blonde, grey or white hair.The Rio Salon IPL machine is also not for use on or by children under 14 years old.
