Chaucer, murderers, pilgrims, actors, witches. Canterbury is not simply a city of pleasant coffee-shops and quaint gardens. The shady corners and ancient buildings conceal stories, mysteries, and speculation. This will be a whistle-stop tour, taking you on the final section of the Pilgrims' Way, from St Dunstan's Church to the Buttermarket and Cathedral entrance. It will then wind through the historic heart of the city, up the charming King's Mile, and round to Abbot's Mill Garden, before finishing back near the centre, on Orange Street. Not only will you pick up some (pub-quiz-worthy) facts, but you will get plenty of local eating and drinking recommendations too. Please note, due to Covid 19, may have changed or closed.
