Originating in the fast east where they were used in religious ceremonies these hollowed out wood blocks are used in varying sizes to give a variety of pitches. They sound similar to a wood block although temple blocks have a darker more hollow timbre.
The set consist of 5 Firmly fixed drums to a stand. This allows the drums to be placed in an accessible position for easy playing either with the beaters provided or with hand and finger rhythms. Each drum has its own tone.
