The building itself used to be family home in early 1900's and converted to a hotel in the 1940's. It is a traditional hotel and the regular clientele are over the age of 50. It has a warm, friendly atmosphere with the added asset of welcoming staff. It is perfect for guests looking for good food and good service. Highlights of the hotel would be the beautiful views that can be seen from most of the rooms as well as the bar, lounge and Dining Room which are all on the ground floor. Some rooms are not accessible by the lift. There is no night porter service therefore the latest the bar stays open is 11pm or 12 midnight at the weekend. Reception is open from 7.30am to 11pm and the front door entrance is locked after it is closed but room key cards allow guests into the hotel after this time. It is also a pet friendly hotel.
