This guide contains ten family-friendly and easy-paced short walks covering the length of the Surrey Hills and Kent Downs AONB. You can walk in the footsteps of Canterbury pilgrims and in those of authors Conan Doyle, Dickens and Ian Fleming. It takes you to a 2012 Olympic Games venue, woodland inhabited by the purple emperor, and Bridget Jones and Black Narcissus film locations at Shere and Chilham. Walks range across the North Downs, with fine vistas and olde worlde pubs, from Puttenham Common heath to downland rambles in the Surrey Hills between Shere and Botley Hill; and via deer parkland strolls at Knole and in Jeskyns Community Woodland to outings in the Stour Valley at Wye and on the Kent Downs at Chilham.
