A very good hotel which is located not far from the center of York, within walking distance to the city walls. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna and is ideal for the leisure traveller. Please note that all areas and rooms are now non-smoking within the hotel. The majority of the rooms are of a medium size and are in a fair condition. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV, direct dial telephone and tea/ coffee facilities. Most have views over the racecourse and clients are allocated either a room in the original townhouse or the annexe. The restaurant is traditional in style and serves English food.
