This 30 piece activity floor puzzle, full of jungle animals, is a clever way for children to learn letters and the alphabet. It is important for children learn their letters phonically to give them the foundations for learning to read. Jungle Safari is phonically correct, (as in 'i' for 'iguana', not 'ice cream') and also includes three common digraphs that children learn in Reception year ('sh', 'ch' and 'th'). Point to one of the pictures and ask the child to identify it, and the sound it begins with. Each picture round the edge can be found within the main puzzle. Lots more tips on extending play value can be found on the box. There is a handy posting slot at the top of the box so that children can post their pieces and help with clearing away.
