This charming, Old English style hotel is situated on the banks of the River Stour. With beautiful countryside, the market town of Sudbury and the river surrounding it, there are wonderful views from many of the rooms and from the Hotels restaurant and bar. The town of Sudbury is the birthplace of one of Britains most famous portrait artists, Thomas Gainsborough. In fact, the delightful scenery of Sudbury and its surrounds attracted many famous English painters to paint the river and landscape. The Mill has 56, beautifully appointed rooms. Many of the rooms overlook the river, and each room is spacious and classically decorated. The Hotels restaurant is so popular, that it is advisable for guests to book dinner in advance. Guests can relax in the hotels cosy Edwardian style bar, the Meadows, which looks out over the River Stour. The hotel has a large, private car park with 50 spaces. Parking is complimentary for guests. Free Wireless Internet access is available throughout the public areas of the hotel. For comfort and convenience a laundry and dry cleaning service is offered to guests. Room service is also available, should you wish to relax and enjoy a meal in your room. Please note that the hotel does NOT feature an elevator. There are only a limited number of ground floor rooms. The building was once a mill and still features today the wheel in working condition in the centre of the Hotel.
