Tagine is a North African dish named after the pot in which it is cooked. This purple Mason Cash stoneware tagine pot consists of two parts and is used to cook healthy stews, casseroles, currys etc. The 28cm base unit is flat and circular with low sides and is used to fry meat and spices. The cone shaped cover rests on top of the base unit retaining heat and returning condensation to the bottom of the pot. This one pot is multi-functional and can be used to cook all sorts of casserole based meals. Simply fry meat or vegetables in the flat base, add water or stock and leave to simmer for the required time. Remove the lid and the base can be used as a serving dish and placed straight onto a table. The Mason Cash tagine can be used in a microwave and a dishwasher.
