Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Located in the Alazani Valley, in the historic Kakheti wine region of Georgia, at the home of the Telavi Wine Cellar, Marani produces award-winning wines that express the best of Georgian viticulture, thanks to the perfect combination of modern technologies, ancient winemaking practices and indigenous grape varieties. This semi-sweet wine is produced exclusively with grapes of the indigenous Ojaleshi grape , selected and harvested manually at the peak of ripeness. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, until the desired residual sugar level is reached. The wine is then stored at low temperatures until bottling, to ensure that the natural sweetness and balance of the wine is maintained. Marani Ojaleshi reveals a clear and brilliant color with light ruby tones. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant with herbaceous and fruity notes (especially currant, raspberry, and plum), floral hints, and some spicy nuances. On the palate, it is fruity and elegant with a fresh acidity that perfectly balances the natural sweetness. The finish is pleasantly fruity with some herbaceous notes. Excellent with fruit tarts or lamb tagine with plums and almonds. Serve it slightly chilled.
