Situated in beautiful mountain surroundings just ten minutes from Kaikoura, Manakau Lodge is a luxury rural retreat, offering the discerning traveller the finest in country lodge accommodation and hospitality. Our four purpose-built guest rooms are spacious, elegantly appointed, and supremely comfortable. Each has its own veranda with spectacular views: to one side, the majestic peaks of the Kaikoura Range mountains, snow-capped for most of the year; to the other, an ocean panorama, fabulous sunrises, and more often than not, a glittering night sky. Rooms are individually air-conditioned and feature hand-made New Zealand rimu furnishings, deep-cushioned armchairs, LCD televisions, and the most luxurious modern bathrooms, with warm floors, fluffy towels, and superb monsoon showers. Our two Lodge rooms feature super-comfortable king size beds with fine cotton linens. For added indulgence, our slightly larger Deluxe rooms feature super-king beds, and the addition of deep, floor-standing baths. These rooms can also be converted to twin single beds if preferred. With complimentary use of an In-Room iPad™, guests have access to the internet and email literally at their fingertips. As well as providing online links to restaurants, visitor attractions and local services, choose from a selection of daily international newspapers and magazines, check out the latest weather forecasts, get maps and driving directions, make onward travel plans, or make a Skype™ video call to friends and family back home. Rooms are also equipped with Apple® TV. For a cosy night in, choose your favourite music or movie from our huge digital library, and stream it straight to the TV in your room.
