The DSD180 is a cordless drywall saw which is powered by an 18v Makita LXT power tool battery. It has been developed for cutting holes in drywall when setting ceiling lights, air vents etc. Compared with standard cut-out tools, the DSD180 is especially well suited to straight cuts. An integrated dust box serves to catch the dust when working overhead, and a dust port enables the tool to be connected up to an external dust extractor or vacuum cleaner. It can be fitted with blades for wood as well as drywall.
