The DC40RA is a fast charger for Makita 40v Max XGT Lithium ion power tool batteries. It is equipped with two cooling fans, one for the battery and the other for the charging circuit, enabling it to charge consecutive batteries at the optimum charge time. The DC40RA can also be used to charge Makta's 18v LXT lithium ion batteries if used with the ADP10 adaptor (not included). The DC40RA will fully recharge a 2.5ah 40v battery in approximately 28 minutes and will fully recharge a 4.0ah 40v battery in approximately 45 minutes.
