Long Meadow Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, California, the Long Meadow Ranch is owned by the Hall family who acquired it in 1989. The vineyards, which extend for over 60 hectares, are organically grown. Here the company cultivates international varieties typical of California such as Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Some of the vineyards are located around the winery on the estate in the Mayacamas Mountains, others in the Anderson Valley and Rutherford. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from the vineyards located in Rutherford and on the estate in the Mayacama mountains, where the cellar is also located. After vinification, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak. Long Meadow Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that reveals an intense aromatic profile with scents of red fruits such as cherry, pomegranate, plum, and blackberry followed by notes of cloves, leather, and tobacco. On the palate, it has a strong character with earthy notes and a fresh fruity acidity which makes it very well balanced. The tannins are soft and persistent. The finish is long and pleasant. It is absolutely perfect with beef stew, and also goes well with lamb shank and game.
