This walking tour takes you on a loop through the lower slopes of the gardens. It has a little bit of everything of interest, including botany, history, landscape, art and culture. It’s a walk of sensual delight through the natural beauty of the gardens throughout, and you even get to touch and smell the fynbos in the fragrance garden! The walk goes via the rare plant garden and erica beds to the forested dell and prehistoric cycad collection. It carries on into the wilder parts of the garden, through the tree tops on the boomslang canopy walkway. The return loop of the walk is via the succulent garden, spring flowerbeds and the Zimbabwe stone sculpture collection.
