Your ryokan experience starts with our spacious lobby overlooking the koi pond. Then proceed to your guestroom (think 'tatami', 'shoji', 'tokonoma'). Have a welcoming cup of tea and home-baked cookies, then change into your yukata robe and head to the onsen baths for a relaxing soak. Make sure to enjoy the outdoor baths as well. Now you are ready for our chef's kaiseki-style dinner featuring Nagano's regional cuisine and seasonal ingredients.Later, take a stroll in your yukata and wooden geta sandals to the small shops here in our onsen town, Togura-Kamiyamada. The hotel also features natural hot spring and artificial hot spring called Togurakamiyamada onsen. You will find outdoor hot spring and private bath rooms. There are 1 indoor bath and 1 outdoor bath (Bathing is with our 2 communal baths, both with outdoor baths attached. The smaller bath has an outdoor bath made of yellow cedar. The larger bath has an open-air bath made of river rock and is in a quiet garden setting. Here you can bathe in the starlight as you soak in the onsen. We switch the baths at designated times so that men and women can enjoy both baths. (Private family bath times may also be arranged.)Togura Kamiyamada's hot spring mineral water has a strong sulfur content and the minerals will make your skin feel nice and smooth.
