Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Located in Fuissé, Burgundy, Chateau de Beauregard owes its name to its strategic and isolated location on top of the plateau overlooking the Pouilly Fuissé vineyard. The estate, the flagship of the Burrier family, extends over approximately 37 hectares of organically farmed vineyards. The Chardonnay grapes are selected and hand-picked from vineyards located in the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, in the southern part of Burgundy, at an average altitude of 200-300 meters. Here the vines enjoy an east/south-east exposure and are rooted in Jurassic clay-limestone soils. After vinification, the finished wine rests on the lees for 9 months, half in steel and half in barrels. In the glass, the wine reveals a straw yellow color with golden reflections and a broad and fragrant aromatic profile with delicate notes of pear, apple, and peach and hints of acacia flowers and honey. On the palate, it is fresh, elegant, and balanced with a medium body and a pleasant refreshing acidity. The finish is long and recalls clear mineral notes. It is a characterful and complex wine that can age well, developing buttery and toasted notes, but is very enjoyable now with lemon roast chicken, scallops, or goat cheese.
