Established in 1875, Chojyukan is all wooden Japanese ryokan. Large bath was built in 1895 in Rokumeikan (a social salon in Meiji era) style. The bath uses rain and snow fallen 60 years ago which is gushed out directly from the underground so that effective ingredients can be efficiently absorbed in human bodies. We do not have elevators or escalators. You need to use many staircases in some buildings; it is recommended for the physically challenged to ask comfortably usable rooms at the time of reservation. The hotel also features natural hot spring and artificial hot spring called Hoshi onsen. You will find outdoor hot spring. There are 2 indoor bath and 1 outdoor bath (Large bath (mixed bathing): available for females only.).
