La Chemenaz Chalet Hotel is located in the French alpine resort of Les Contamines-Montjoie, in the region of Haute-Savoie. The hotel (at 1,160m altitude) is very close to the ski lift at Le Lay: this gives access to the whole Contamines-Hauteluce ski domain (120km, maximum elevation of 2,487m). Also close to the hotel is the area used for cross country skiing, the leisure / sports area of Le Pontet, and the major walking routes (GR5, Tour du Mont Blanc, Tour du Pays du Mont Blanc). Our rooms are spacious (25m2 minimum) and airy with a balcony and large windows, and with all the comforts that you would expect. We also have some family rooms of 35m2, with a separated bunkroom for the children. There are plenty of sports activities to choose from in the local area, or you could stay quietly at the hotel to enjoy the heated swimming pool or the relaxation area with its sauna and jacuzzi. For good skiers, there are many off-piste runs to attempt. Alternatively, the resorts of Megève and Chamonix are not far away. There are a number of shops within walking distance of the hotel: cafés, a patisserie, a small supermarket, a tabac and several ski-hire outlets.
