It was previously used as a 'school for young ladies' and was subsequently both a private house and a convent for the Dominican Sisters. Operating as a hotel since 1970, it retains many original period features, such as the large 18th century fireplace in the lounge. Renovated in 2008, it now comprises a total of 76 accommodation units.
