The Handy THSSALT Salt Spreader features a conveniently-positioned handlebar-mounted adjuster that facilitates precision setting of the spread-rate. A heavy-duty reinforced transmission means it will cope with the rigours of intensive large-area use; while Handy’s provision of adjustable deflectors lets you quickly switch from pathway to open-space work. In addition to ice-melts and processed salts, this model can be used during the growing-season for the application of granular fertiliser. Included in the package is a hopper-screen that prevents performance-inhibiting clogging; and a hopper-cover that will keep the contents dry and enable you to continue work should it start to rain. Important: DO NOT USE WITH ROCK SALT. Using rock salt in this spreader will damage the mechanism and shorten the life of the product. Refined ice melting salt can be used, but the user should be aware that using any type of salt may corrode certain components of the machine and reduce the lifetime of the spreader. Clean the spreader thoroughly after using refined de-icing salt.
