HTC One (M8 2014) is the next-generation release of HTC s 2013 flagship smartphone HTC One (also known by pre-launch codename M7). As evident by its name it takes off right from where its predecessor left by taking HTC s technological journey forward and introducing some fabulous new features in addition to enhancing older ones. Announced in March the device is HTC s flagship smartphone for 2014. It features a 5.0-inch Super LCD3 touch display a big jump from its predecessor s 4.7-inch screen that essentially takes it into the phablet club. The screen provides a Full HD screen resolution (1920 x 1080p) at 441ppi pixel density and employs a brand new version of HTC s Sense UI (v6) to offer users a visually improved interface. It also boasts Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for screen protection against scratches. In terms of design HTC One M8 sticks to HTC One s sleek and stylish Aluminium-finished ergonomics with dual frontal speakers intact. The powerful BoomSound integration is also available for M8 which was a mega hit for the M7 model. HTC One (M8 2014) comes equipped with a Quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm processor on Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2GB RAM to go with it. It features a 16GB internal ROM preloaded with Android OS v4.4.2 (KitKat). In addition to this HTC is now offering a microSD memory card slot for the M8 something that was missing in the original HTC One. The inclusion of this slot means that storage can be extended up to a whopping 128GB. Another much talked-about aspect of this powerful handset is its rear Ultra Pixel HTC Duo camera with a 4MP twin-sensor which greatly improves focus. The twin sensor combines two cameras to give you greater control over scenes. You can capture a wider area and make sure that nothing and nobody is skipped. The twin sensor is 1/3-inch in size offers concurrent HD recording and photo capture and allows HDR mode/face/smile detection as well. An incredible 5MP Full HD front cam is also provided owing to the popularity of self portrait photography among users. An all new HTC Zoe app comes with enhanced support for personalization. You can literally cut photos depicting your most treasured moments and turn them into a montage of video-style memories. Other impressive specs of HTC One (M8 2014) include - Wi-Fi Wi-Fi hotspot Wi-Fi Direct DLNA Bluetooth 4.0 IR microUSB 2.0 interface Adreno 330 GPU HTML5 browser backside fingerprint scanner FM Radio dual LED flash GPS/GLONASS OTA sync SNS/Google integration 25GB free Dropbox and a 2600mAh Li-Po battery.
