The HDMI over single CAT5 / CAT6 extender allows the user to send an HDMI signal greater distances than standard HDMI cables. This is achieved by sending the signal over a single CAT5 or CAT6 ethernet cable which provides a more flexible and cable managable solution for anyone who wants longer distances fot HDMI. These extenders have a maximum range of 120 metres over CAT6 100 metres over CAT5e or 80 metres over CAT5 in addition to the maximum recommended 5 meter HDMI cables for input and output this gives a total distance up to 130 metres.
