Greenfinn’s Black Chokeberry Powder

Greenfinn’s Black Chokeberry Powder is made of the dark and juicy berries picked from aronia berry bushes, and it is full of refreshing vitamins. Finnish organic berries. No added sugar.

The black chokeberries used in the product are grown on the manufacturer’s own farm. In addition to the pulp, the powder also contains the peels and seeds of the berries. Approximately 0,7 kilograms of black chokeberries are used for the content of each jar!

From bush to jar

Aronia berry bushes are familiar to many in the form of hedges, but few utilise the plant in any other way. The shrubs used in hedges are, however, often purple chokeberry bushes and not black chokeberry bushes, from which the berries used in Greenfinn's products are picked. The smaller purple chokeberries are edible, but they are not quite as tasty as black chokeberries.

Black chokeberries contain vitamin C and a great deal of fibre. The taste of black chokeberries is pleasantly mild, which makes the berry well suited for use in smoothies with almost any other type of berry.

How to use

Due to its mild taste, black chokeberry is suitable for almost any berry recipe. Use the powder, for instance, in berry pies, muffins, or breakfast porridge.

Add a teaspoonful – or two – to a smoothie, or sprinkle some on top of, e.g., yogurt or quark.
