Faithfull gas quality P.T.F.E (polytetrafluoroethylene) tape will provide a gas, air and water tight seal on threaded joints. This invaluable tape is an essential component when working on gas pipework. Suitable for use on BS21 threads up to 50mm (2in). It is non-adhesive, no need for messy compounds. It won’t harden or dry out and is resistant to cracking, impermeable to ?20 bar and performs a lubricating function. Used in the plumbing and heating industries for sealing pipes, conduits, bolts, valves and threaded gas lines that carry all common gases such as air, oxygen, ammonia, butane, chlorine and hydrogen, and liquids such as water, propylene glycol, kerosene and diesel.
